WVB Week In Review

The Conestoga Condors Women's Volleyball team initiated the OCAA 2022 season with two losses against the Humber Hawks (2-0) and St. Clair (1-1).

The Condors played the first game of the season against The Humber Hawks. Condors had a tough start and lost 3-0; the set scores were 25-16, 25-12, and 25-15.
Libby Bauman scored 6 points, Olivia Bender contributed by scoring 3 points and 11 digs. While Nicole Hellinga gave 7 assists and scored 1 point.

Two days later, The Conestoga Condors traveled to St. Clair College SportsPlex and played against the Saints. Condors lost the second game 3-1; the final set scores were 25-16, 25- 23, 19-25, and 25-18. The Condors had 6 different players score at least one point in the match. Libby Bauman scored 12 points and 4 digs. Marissa Smith scored 9 points including 7 kills on 9 swings, Olivia Bender 8 points, 5 digs, and Nicole Hellinga added 11 digs.

The Condors (0-2) will be playing an away game against the Sheridan Bruins (0-2) on Wednesday, February 16, at 6 pm.

At this time no spectators are allowed inside the Student Recreation Centre.
