Conestoga Recreation brings you a variety of in person fitness classes for the Spring/Summer 2024 term! These fitness classes enable you to stay fit and healthy with amazing instructors throughout the term!

Registration opens exactly two weeks before the class date.

How To Sign Up: Click the register button below each class to sign up for the class. 

Membership: You must have an active full membership. For more information click here.

Cost: FREE, Available to all current Conestoga full-time Doon and Cambridge Students!

What You Need: Water bottle and comfortable clothing.

Schedule: May 13th through July 29th - Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Location: All fitness classes take place in the Multi-purpose Room

Student Success Week: Classes will run during Student Success Week June 23rd to June 29th 

No Fitness Classes: Monday May 20th (Victoria Day) and Monday July 1st (Canada Day) 



 


Pilates

Mondays @ 4:00pm-5:00pm & Thursdays @ 4:00pm-5:00pm
Instructor: Beth Dawkins

Achieve a balanced and toned body with the ultimate core fitness workout! Incorporate Pilates postures with traditional core exercises to help improve posture, strength, and range of motion. Rejuvenate your workout with a focus on your breathing and find those deep core muscles in the abdomen and that surround the spine. All fitness levels welcome.


Zumba - Ditch the Workout, Join the Party

Mondays @ 5:00pm-6:00pm
Instructor: Gargi Patel

Zumba is a fun dance based interval workout that helps you de-stress while enjoying music. The classes move between high and low-intensity dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance. Zumba targets many different muscle groups at once for total body toning. You not only get aerobic benefits (it really gets your heart rate up), you also get anaerobic benefits – the kind that help you maintain a good cardiovascular respiratory system. Zumba is perfect for everybody and every body!


Boxfit 

Tuesdays @ 5:00pm-6:00pm
Instructor: Beth Dawkins 

This boxing inspired workout is sure to pack a punch with the focus of cardiovascular training, muscular strength, and endurance. Air box with foundational boxing moves; jabs, upper cuts, hooks, kicks and more. Movements resembling boxing will be used for cardiovascular training and strength training to support the movements will be infused throughout the workout. Work through a series of rounds comprised of cardio, conditioning and core strengthening that are designed to improve overall fitness. This class will help you feel energized, fierce and strong! 


Yoga Flow - Women's Only

Tuesdays @ 6:00pm-7:00pm
Instructor: Hemangi Vaishnav

Expect to move with your breath and focus your attention; this well balanced flow class will get you out of your head and into your body and your breath; modifications always welcome. This class is Women's Only, all levels are welcomed and encouraged to join this safe learning space. Yoga mats are provided but you are welcome to bring your own!


Strength Train 101

Wednesdays @ 5:00pm-6:00pm
Instructor: Emma Clark

Want to build lean muscle, feel stronger, leaner, and more confident? Join Emma on Wednesdays for an energy-packed class that will incorporate a wide range of exercises using dumbbells, accessories, and body weight movements to develop strength, endurance and overall performance. Step into your Peak Performance!


Bollyfit

Wednesdays @ 6:00pm-7:00pm
Instructor: Gargi Patel

Elevate your fitness routine with our exhilarating class that seamlessly blends the infectious rhythms of Bollywood music with the dynamic zest of Zumba! Experience the joy of movement as you dance your way to fitness, shedding calories and sculpting your body in the most enjoyable way possible. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a newcomer, our straightforward choreography ensures a smooth entry into the world of vibrant, calorie-burning dance.
