Fitness Assessments

Whether you’re just starting out or have been training for years, this is the perfect first step toward a healthier, stronger you. You'll gain a clear understanding of your current fitness level and receive guidance to help you reach your goals. Starting off with a body composition scan, a conversation about your goals and nutrition habits, and a few simple assessments: push-ups for upper body strength, a wall-sit for leg endurance, and a forearm plank for core stability. Our aim is to give you meaningful insights and practical advice to strengthen your fitness routine and track your progress along the way.

  • One session is 45 minutes
  • Location: Fitness Centre

Fitness Orientations

The Fitness Orientation was created to provide students with an overall view of the wellness facilities at the Student Recreation Centre. Your Fitness Orientation will review:

  • Know the Essentials: Get familiar with our key policies to make the most of your experience
  • Discover What's Offered: Learn about our wide range of recreational and fitness services that are FREE and available to you
  • Stay Safe, Stay Strong: Learn how to properly and safely use all fitness equipment with guidance.

InBody Composition Scan

Ever wonder what the number on the scale means? In our Body Composition Scan, we use our InBody Machine that gives you detailed results about your total body weight, body fat percentage, lean muscle mass and total body water weight. Not too sure what these terms mean? Our Student Health Promotor team will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of these key terms and the role they play in your fitness journey. Let's help you reach those fitness goals!
