Welcome back to this week’s varsity recap. It was a big week for the Condors, from hosting the OCAA Badminton Championships to competing in indoor soccer and battling it out in the basketball and volleyball playoffs. Let's see how our Condors-athletes did this week.
Condors Badminton
The Conestoga Condors delivered an exciting performance at the 2025 OCAA Badminton Championships on February 14-15. Max Barnes also put up a strong fight in men’s singles, starting the tournament with a perfect 4 –0 record before falling in the semi-finals and finishing 4th in the province. The Condors showed great teamwork in doubles action as Yrhicka Lozano & Nandini Sharma (women’s doubles) as well as Pravin Viswanathan & Lin Andre Jan Vitin (men’s doubles) finishing ranked 4th in their respective pools, just short of making the playoff rounds. In mixed doubles, Mariam Muqeem & Ryan Tu won two pool matches, reaching the quarterfinals before being eliminated from contention. All participants gained valuable experience against the province’s best.
