The Conestoga Condors proudly announce that former cross-country star Jason Smith has been selected for induction into the OCAA Hall of Fame - Class of 2025. Smith's exceptional achievements from 2008 to 2010 have earned him a place among the most esteemed athletes in OCAA history. The OCAA Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at the Pan Pacific Toronto on Monday, May 5, 2025.
The Hall of Fame inductee made an immediate impact in his rookie season in 2008, finishing 7th at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Championship and helping the men’s team secure a gold medal. In 2009, he continued to dominate the competition, securing second-place finishes at both the Fanshawe and St. Clair Invitationals. He capped off the season in spectacular fashion by winning the individual gold medal at the OCAA Championships and finishing 4th at the CCAA Nationals, proudly representing Conestoga on the national stage.
In his final season in 2010, Smith further solidified his place in OCAA history by capturing OCAA gold once again and delivered another strong performance at the CCAA National Championship, where he finished 5th.
Andrew Bates, Director of Sport and Recreation at Conestoga, shared his congratulations: "On behalf of the Athletics Department, I am proud to congratulate Jason on his well-deserved induction into the Ontario Collegiate Athletic Association (OCAA) Hall of Fame.
