Men's Volleyball Recap - January 22, 2020

January 22, 2020…KITCHENER – The Conestoga Condors Men’s Volleyball team hosted the Niagara Knights Wednesday evening. The game was in support of mental health awareness and the #BellLetsTalk initiative.

 

With both teams battling for second place in the OCAA West division, the game was as competitive as anticipated. The Condors prevailed in a nail biting, exciting, 5-set match 3-2.

 

 After the Condors took the first set 26-24, Niagara’s men’s team stormed back to win the next two (26-24, 25-18). The Condors took back control of the game by winning the 4th set 25-19. They carried that momentum into the 5th set and completed the comeback, winning with set scores of 15-10.

 

Ryan Clutton (Waterloo, ON) led the Condors with 43 assists out of a team total of 50. Judah Verbeek (Elmira, ON) played a huge role as he added 19 points, as well as Dylan Arndt (Waterloo, ON) who contributed 13 points and 5 digs.

 

What's Next?
The Condors host the Redeemer Royals on Jan. 25 in South Gym. Game time is set for 3.p.m., with the matches being streamed on ocaa.com
