Condors Varsity Weekly Recap - February 12nd -18th

Your Condors faced off in playoff matchups in the final week of our court sports; here are the most recent highlights and results:

Quote Of the Week

“We are extremely proud of the women's varsity soccer team. The Sheridan Tournament was the perfect warmup for the Regional Tournament next Tuesday. The girls went undefeated in the group stage without conceding a goal. A dominant performance in the Semi-Finals against Laurier Brantford, winning 4-0, set up a rematch of the George Brown Final against St. Clair College. We appeared much more motivated, and our intensity levels were too much for them. We conceded an early goal against the run of play before Ella Chase equalized late, and Ashley Blazek found a late winner to win the game 2-1. It was an outstanding day, with the girls winning their first tournament since 2021 at Centennial College. The expectations are extremely high for this group. Qualify at Regionals next Tuesday, and we have the potential to medal at the OCAA indoor provincials,” said Peter Mackie, Women’s Soccer Head Coach.

Call of Duty – The Call of Duty team had a nice and fun match against Butler University (NACE) with a tight middle round that was close but still ended in Conestoga’s favour, allowing them to push it to a 3-0 win!

Counter-Strike 2 – The Counter-Strike 2 team matched up against Syracuse University (NACE). It was a hard match to win, but the team showed they were improving as they made Syracuse work for a Map 2 win. In the end it still was a 0-2 loss for the team.
