Bio

Marlene hails from Dutton, Ontario, and enrolled at Conestoga College in 1991 in the Recreation Leadership program. She was a member of the Varsity Softball, Soccer, and Volleyball teams.

While on the Softball and Soccer teams Marlene often found herself playing many different positions on the field. As Captain of the Volleyball team, she was the leader on the floor in the position of Setter. Marlene was never the star player but gave her heart and soul at every practice and game. She always put in the extra effort and selflessly put the team first. She accepted these roles and was rewarded by receiving 2 Coaches Awards for Indoor Soccer and 1 for Volleyball.

While at Conestoga, Marlene collected 2 Gold Medals in Outdoor Soccer, 3 Silver Medals for Indoor Soccer, and a Bronze Medal in Softball. Marlene also participated heavily in the Intramural program and the Student Athletics Committee.

Marlene is one of the co-founders of the Athletic Hall of Fame and President of the Conestoga Soccer Alumni Association. Marlene lives in Kitchener and continues her dedication to the Condors in the role of Senior Varsity Coordinator.
