WVB Kicks off season against Humber

The Conestoga Condors Women's Volleyball Team has completed their pre-season preparation and is ready to start the OCAA regular season after nearly a two-year hiatus.

Exhibition Play

Conestoga Condors played five pre-season games, including the Durham Invitational tournament. The Condors wrapped up the weekend with a 1-3 record with the win coming against the George Brown Huskies. Olivia Bender was a tournament all-star.

Their final exhibition game came against a strong Fanshawe Falcons team with a 3-0 defeat. Nicole Hellinga put in a good performance with 8 assists, 8 digs and 2 service aces.

The Squad

The 2021-2022 Squad is led by Co-Captains Olivia Bender and Hellinga. Libby Bauman, Jessica Ball & Marissa Smith round out the returning players while eight new recruits make up the rest of the team.

Kelly McGuire starts as the new Head Coach for the Women's team, while Mallory Limage and Bernadine Verstraeten join as the Assistant Coaches.

Regular Season

Condors begin the 2021-22 OCAA regular season with an away against Humber Hawks on January 7th at 6:00 PM. After a few more away games they return back home February 20 with a match against the Niagara Knights at 1:00 pm.

This season the Condors will be competing in the OCAA West division, the Condors will face off against every team once. For the full Condor schedule click here.
