General

  • No filming/photography or cell phone use in changerooms and member-only spaces
  • Abuse or intimidation of Staff or other Members will not be tolerated

ONE Card

  • You are the only person entitled to use your card. The ONE Card is non-transferable. Using the ONE Card of another person is prohibited. 
  • Your card will work 24 hours after picking it up from the ONE Card office.
  • Bring your ONE Card for each visit to the Student Recreation Centre. Your card will grant you access to the member areas. Please swipe your ONE Card card when you arrive at the Front Desk. If you are visiting the Fitness Centre area on the second floor, you must also bring your card with you to tap-in at the Fitness Centre Desk upon entry.
  • If you are an online student or remote employee, please pick up a ONE Card from the ONE Card office prior to purchasing a membership. You will be able to purchase your membership online or in-person 24 hours after pick-up.

Proper Fitness Attire and General Policies

  • Street clothes or jeans are not permitted.
  • Dry, closed-toe athletic shoes are required.
  • Dress shoes, boots, or open-toed shoes are not permitted.
  • Please leave all your personal belongings locked in the change room.
  • Gym bags are not permitted on the floor. Bring your own quality lock. Combination locks are also available for sale at the front desk.
  • Lost and stolen items are not the responsibility of the Athletics & Recreation Department.   
  • Headphones must be worn to listen to personal music. No speakers will be allowed.
  • Voice calls are not permitted.
  • Recording, video calling, taking pictures/videos or any other type of recording is not permitted.

Proper Equipment Use

  • For the safety of everyone, clips must be used on barbells regardless of weight.
  • If you are unfamiliar with equipment and machines, ask staff for assistance.

Equipment Clean Up

  • Members are required to clean each machine after use and dispose of wipes in the trash.
  • Please put all equipment away after use.

Cancellation Policy

  • Please utilize the options available within the booking system to cancel your reservations if you are unable to attend your time slot. Failure to do so on several occasions may lead to suspension of privileges. 
  • You can review and cancel all of your bookings online.

Member Code of Conduct

It is a requirement of all members to follow the Member Code of Conduct within the Centre and/or while participating in the Activities to support a safe and inclusive wellness environment for all members.

Member Rights:

To Be Safe: Students, staff, and alumni have the right to learn and work in an environment that is safe, secure, and free from harassment and/or discrimination and to be treated with respect and dignity.

  • Sport and fitness is a vulnerable setting, the Member Code of Conduct is designed to ensure that members are supported in an inclusive and safe environment, free of harassment and discrimination.

Member Responsibilities:

Respect for Persons: Students, staff, and alumni have the responsibility to respect the well-being and personal worth and dignity of all the College’s students, employees, and affiliated members.

  • Please recognize we employ many of the College’s students to support the operation of the Centre and it is imperative these students receive respect from the membership.

Respect for Property, the Centre, and the College Reputation: Students, staff, and alumni have the responsibility to respect the College’s property and represent the College in a positive manner.

  • Communicating and treating the Centre staff and users with dignity, respect, and care.
  • Complying with the direction received from employees of the College’s Athletics & Recreation Department.

 Failure to abide by Athletics Policies may lead to suspension of privileges.
