Condors Visit Falcons In Season Opener!

It has been almost two years since the Conestoga Condors Men's Basketball team competed in a competitive OCAA game. The team completed their pre-season exhibition game play and is ready to start the OCAA regular season against the Fanshawe Falcons on February 9, 2022 at 8:00 PM.  

Conestoga Condors played five pre-season games, including the inaugural Lambton College Invitational where the Condors finished the weekend with a 1-2 record with a HUGE buzzer beater against Lambton Lions by Damien De Los Santos. The Condors returned home concluding their pre-season preparation with a win against the Centennials Colts with a final score of 76-69. New recruit, Sam Pingle was the player of the game scoring 11 points, with 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Whereas Rylan Ninaber scored 19 with Rod William adding another 11. 

Condors Men's basketball finishes preseason with a 2-3 record. 

New Faces: 

The 2021-2022 Squad has a total of 12 new recruits and no returning players from the 2019-20 season. 

From the Bench:

First year coach Ahmad El-Osta joins the Condors with a previous role as an Assistant Coach at Laurier University Men's Basketball team, and Yazan Al Sharif join as an Assistant. Graduated senior athletes, Avery Sutton and Alex Otyzv round out the Condors coaching staff.  

Home Opener: 

The Condors will return home 2 days later to face the Niagara Knights at 8:00 PM. At this time no spectators will be permitted. 

Condors will be competing in the 2021-22 OCAA regular season West division made up of 9 other teams. To see the full Condors schedule click here.
