Condors Impressive at OCAA West Regionals

The Condors ventured off to Humber College on January 31st for the two day OCAA West Regional Tournament.

Led by Head Coach Roselyn Bevis and Assistant Coach Derek Lenos, the Condors achieved their best results as a team in most recent history. 

The Condors entered in the following categories:
Men's Singles

  • Pranav Satheesh and Sadik Ali
Women's Singles
  • Marla Betts
Men's Doubles
  • David Lewis and Suhail Mohammed
Women's Doubles
  • Melanie Vu and Lorenza Renna
Mixed Doubles
  • Christian Hill and Rhaea Visto
David Lewis and Suhail Mohammed would earn a bronze in men's doubles, while Christian Hill and Rhaea Visto earned an impressive silver in mixed doubles.

The Men's Singles category was one for the record books for the Condors. Sadik Ali was a walk on to the Condors roster this season and proved what hard work and commitment can result in, as he battled hard all tournament long finishing 4th place in the very competitive Men's singles category.

To finish off the tournament in grand style, first year sensation Pranav Satheesh took home the gold in the Men's Singles, only losing one set the entire tournament. Based on the team's overall performance, the Condor's men's team earned silver for the tournament.

The Condors are excited and prepared to host the OCAA Championships at Conestoga, taking place Thursday February 13th to Friday February 14th at the Recreation Centre.

Satheesh, Lewis, Mohammed, Hill and Visto all qualified for the Provincials and will look to represent the Condors proudly on our Home Court.
