Bio

Dan came to the College in 1971 as a part-time employee, and by 1972 was hired full-time in the athletic department as the Athletic Director.

Dan was hired to oversee the Varsity and Intramural programs and to start a major fundraising campaign to build what is known as the Kenneth E. Hunter Recreation Centre.

Dan enjoyed hockey and was on the Condor coaching staff for several years, including the 1980/81 CCAA gold medal-winning team.

He was an active member of the OCAA Executive Committee from 1977-79, 1985-89 in various positions and was the President from 1989-1991. In addition, he found time to set up Academic qualifications for the Athletic Scholarship Awards. He was an advisor to the Student Association within Conestoga College. He also set up the prerequisites for admission to the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.

Dan retired in 1996 and has since moved on to Stratford. Dan will always be remembered as a cornerstone in Conestoga College Athletics.
