New Women’s Volleyball Coach lands in the Condors Nest

The Conestoga Condors are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Hunt as the Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball Team for the 2019-20 season. 

Chi Liu, the Condors Head Coach from 2017-19, is stepping down for this season for an opportunity to coach overseas in Taipei. Liu will be the Head Coach for Top Speed Women’s Volleyball Club Team, training out of the National Sports University in Taipei. This team is comprised of full-time professional athletes including several from the Taiwanese National Team. Their official league matches being in late October with the playoffs in March 2020.


Hunt comes to the Condors as no stranger to the OCAA Women’s Volleyball circuit. He was the Head Coach of Sheridan College from 2014 to 2019, having recently stepped down this past spring for relocating to the greater Kitchener-Waterloo area. Hunt built the Bruins program into an OCAA contender, compiling an overall record of 88-62 and was recognized as the OCAA Women’s volleyball coach of the year for the 2014-15 season. Previous to Sheridan he has served as Head Coach for Team Ontario and an Assistant coach with the University of Guelph and Brock University.

With that, we are very happy to bring in Scott Hunt as a qualified and experienced Head Coach who will have a great impact on our team and building us into an OCAA contender” noted Todd Erskine, Assistant Manager, Conestoga Athletics and Recreation.


The Condors Women’s Volleyball team will start their regular season at home on Saturday, October 19th, with a 6:00 first serve hosting the Fanshawe Falcons.
