Our Women’s Softball Team travelled to London, Ontario to help open the newly renovated Alumni Field, the home of the Fanshawe Falcons.

On Sunday the team travelled to St. Clair to take on the defending OCAA silver medalists Saints.

Game 1

Cassey Leader and Laura Rumph (Dryden, ON) led the way offensively with both connecting with the long ball and Emily Lush providing an excellent pitching performance and picking up the win.

Game 2

The Condors completed the sweep and won 7-3. Cassey Leader once again led the way offensively and Brook Billings pitched a great game and picked up the win.

Next Up: The team travels again on the 10th to take on Humber College, then will be back home on Friday the 13th for the home opener vs Mohawk. Game times are 6pm and 8pm at Budd Park in Kitchener.

Women’s Soccer

Our Women’s team started their season by travelling to Sarnia to play the host Lambton Lions. The Condors came out strong scoring 4 goals in the first ten minutes of the game, a lead that the Lions could not erase. Lambton tallied their lone goal late in the first half and the Condors held their ground in the second half, earning a 4-1 victory for this match. Leading the way for the Condors was Megan Voutour (Kitchener, ON) who scored 3 of the Condors goals, with Katelyn Damaso (Cambridge, ON) adding the other. Goaltender Jessica Burgess (La Salle, ON) and the Condors defence held the Lions to 5 shots on goal.

Men’s Soccer

Our Men’s team was empowered by watching the Women’s team play first against the Lions and in similar fashion they got off to a great start in this game. The Condors would score all 3 of their goals in the first half, led by two markers by Jonathan Monney (Kitchener, ON). The Lions would mount a comeback in the second half, scoring two late goals. But the defence led by goaltender Ian Anderson-Mckenzie (Waterloo, ON) and Full back Malachi Ramsay (Hi ) shut the door on the mounting pressure of the Lions, with the final score being 3-2.

Next up: Both teams will travel on the 11th to take on Redeemer, followed by hosting Humber on Saturday the 14th for our home opener. Game times are 1pm and 3pm at the Doon Campus Field.
