Condors announce new Men’s Rugby Head Coach

The Condors are happy to announce the appointment of Jim Flynn as their new Head Coach for the Men’s Rugby Program. Jim comes to the Condors with an impressive background in coaching and program development within Rugby. As an NCCP level 3 certified Coach, his previous coaching gigs include time with Burlington RFC, Ontario Blues, and Brampton RFC. Jim has also been responsible for developing and growing Rugby at the High School level, most recently at Meadowvale Secondary School.

 

“I am excited for this opportunity to build a competitive and high performing Rugby team at Conestoga College. Conestoga has many great academic programs that are attractive to those young men playing the game of Rugby, and we look forward to making great strides in the competitive OCAA Men’s Rugby division”. said, Flynn.

 

“We welcome this opportunity for someone with Jim’s background and pedigree to help us advance our goals of building our Men’s Rugby team into a contender in the OCAA. He will have a great impact on the players within our program and we are excited for the upcoming chapter for our Men’s Rugby program” noted Conestoga Athletics Assistant Manager, Todd Erskine.

 

The first tryout for Men’s Rugby will be Wednesday, August 28th at 5:30 pm and full-time Conestoga students interested in trying out can reach Coach Flynn at jflynn@conestogac.on.ca
