Lloyd Sets Single Game Conestoga Points Record

The Conestoga Condors Men's Basketball team (1-3) was able to secure the first win of the season against the Panthers (0-4) after losing to the Royals (3-1) earlier last week.

On Wednesday, the Condors traveled to Hamilton to face the Royals. The opening quarter was tight and resulted in 12-14 for the Royals.


The Condors were able to reverse the score in the second quarter 35 -29. The third and fourth quarters were tightly contested throughout. However, the Royals won the game with a tight difference of 80-85.

Terell Lloyd scored 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Ozay Davis also scored 17 points. While Rylan Ninaber grabbed 8 boards. Sam Pingle had the highest number of steals in the game, with 3 steals in total.

As for the second game, the Condors hosted the Panthers. Condors were able to take the lead since the start finishing the first quarter with a score of 27-15. The Condors continued showing an incredible offensive display by scoring 31 points in the second quarter. The Condors continued the remarkable performance and ended the game with a final score of 100-62. 

Terell Lloyd continued his phenomenal performance this season and scored 42 points, an all time Conestoga Condors single game record. Sam Pingle scored 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. While Rylan Ninaber contributed by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.  

Terell Lloyd ranks in the first in the OCAA season with 27.5 points per game.

The Condors will be playing their third home game against the Lambton Lions (2-2) on Saturday, February 26, at 3 PM.

At this time, no spectators are permitted inside the Student Recreation Centre.
