Condors Fall Late in Battle Against Knights

(Kitchener, Ontario) The Conestoga Men's basketball team fell to an 0-2 record with a 91-75 loss to the Niagara Knights. The Condors got off to great start, leading the game 27-16 after the first quarter. Led by Jody Brown, who had 10 points in just 4 minutes of play off the bench. The Condors held the lead until there was 3:55 left in the 3rd quarter, where the knights took a 55-53 advantage.

 

Shequell Gilgeneous-Glasgow had a fantastic game for the home side. He led all scorers with 26 points and hauled in a team-high 8 rebounds. Jody Brown was a spark off the bench with 19 points while shooting 50% from the field. Van Hutchison Jr. was a force for the Knights, as he pulled in a double-double with 25 points 12 rebounds and 9 assists.

 

Niagara was too much for the Condors in the second half. As they outscored the home-side 53-31. Their 50% from the field was the difference, compared to the Condors 36%.

 

What's next for the Condors?

The Condors will look to pick up their first win of the season Saturday October 27th when Fanshawe comes to Kitchener. The Falcons have started their season 1-1 and look to continue their recent success against Conestoga. Last season, the Falcons swept the season series 2-0.
